On November 17th, the Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association was deeply honored to commemorate the founding ceremony of the World Federation of Young Scientists (hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”) at the plenary session of the 2024 World Young Scientists Summit. As a co-sponsor of the Federation, we have drawn attention with this move aimed at promoting a global platform for exchanges and cooperation among young scientists.
11月17日，新加坡创新创业协会深感荣幸地纪念了世界青年科学家联合会（简称“联合会”）在2024世界青年科学家峰会全体大会上的成立仪式。作为联合会的共同发起方，我们为此举旨在推动青年科学家交流与合作的全球性平台而引人瞩目。
The Federation is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology and jointly initiated by multiple parties, including the Training and Talent Service Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, the Wenzhou World Young Scientists Growth Foundation, the Danish University Consortium, the World Federation of Young Geoscientists, and the Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association.
As an international, academic, and non-profit social organization, the Federation has brought together 46 founding member units such as international, regional or national science and technology organizations, institutions of higher learning, and professional institutions to jointly promote the cross-disciplinary development and cross-regional collaboration among young scientists.
联合会由中国科协主管，并由包括中国科协培训和人才服务中心、温州世界青年科学家成长基金会、丹麦大学联盟、世界青年地球科学家联盟以及新加坡创新创业协会在内的多方共同发起。会作为一个国际性、学术性、非营利性的社会组织，汇聚了国际、区域或国家科学技术组织、高等院校、专业机构等46家创始会员单位，共同推动青年科学家之间的跨界发展学科和跨地域协作。
Youth are the future of scientific and technological innovation, and they shoulder the important responsibility of promoting global scientific and technological progress and sustainable development. However, young scientific and technological talents also face critical challenges during their growth. Therefore, the Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association has been always committed to providing support and guidance for young entrepreneurs, and is glad to see that the Chinese government has increased its efforts in cultivating and supporting young scientific and technological talents.
青年是科技创新的未来，他们肩负着推动全球科技进步和可持续发展的重任。然而，青年科技人才在成长过程中也面临着批评的挑战。因此，新加坡创新创业协会一直致力于为青年创业者服务提供支持和指导，并很高兴看到中国政府加大对青年科技人才的培养和支持力度。
With the joint efforts of the global scientific and technological community and the extensive support of the whole society, the Federation was officially established relying on the platform of the World Young Scientists Summit. The establishment of this platform will provide a stage for global young scientists to fulfill their ideals and achieve their dreams. Meanwhile, it also offers an important opportunity for them to deepen cooperation and jointly promote development.
在全球科技界的共同努力和全社会的广泛支持下，联合会依托世界青年科学家峰会平台正式成立。该平台的建立，将为全球青年科学家提供一个施展理想、成就梦想的舞台，同时也为他们深化合作、共促发展提供了重要的契机。
Lu Zhaoyang, the president of the Federation, pointed out that against the backdrop of the accelerating globalization and the urgency to promote international scientific and technological cooperation, the establishment of the Federation is an effective way to unite young scientific and technological talents. The Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association attaches great importance to this and, through the platform of the Federation, aims to attract more high-end talents, pool the wisdom of young scientists, and jointly provide youth-oriented solutions for solving global issues.
联合会主席陆朝阳指出，在全球化加速、推进国际科技合作紧迫的时代背景下，联合会的成立是团结青年科技人才的有效途径。新加坡创新创业协会对此表示高度重视，并通过联合会的平台，吸引更多高端人才，汇聚青年科学家智慧，共同为解决全球性问题提供青年方案。
Gao Chunbo, vice president and artist of the Federation, also said that the Federation will be committed to building a convincing scientific research community. By bringing together young scientists from different countries and backgrounds, it will jointly stimulate innovative thinking and address common global challenges. The Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association will actively participate in it, promote the sharing of research resources, knowledge and technology, and facilitate cooperation among young scientists from all over the world.
联合会副院长兼艺术高春波也表示，联合会将致力于建设一个令人信服的科研社区，通过汇聚来自不同国家和背景的青年科学家，共同激发创新思维，应对全球共性挑战。新加坡创新创业协会将积极参与其中，推动研究资源、知识和技术的共享，为各地青年科学家开展合作提供便利。
In the future, the operation of the Federation will focus on the business scope such as building a platform for exchanges and cooperation among young scientists around the world, cultivating young scientists who can achieve outstanding achievements in scientific and technological support for sustainable development, and carrying out friendly exchanges with relevant scientific and technological organizations. We will fully support the development of the Federation, attract and inspire global young scientists to participate, enhance the ability of cross-cultural communication, and promote the in-depth participation of young scientists in global scientific and technological governance.
未来，联合会的运行将围绕构建世界青年科学家交流与合作平台、产出在科技支撑可持续发展方面取得突出成就的青年科学家、开展与各有关科技组织的友好交流等业务范围展开。将全力支持联合会的发展，吸引和激励全球青年科学家参与，提升跨文化交流能力，推动青年科学家深度参与全球科技治理。
Furthermore, we have also learned that the Training and Talent Service Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, the People’s Government of Wenzhou City, the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology and the World Federation of Young Scientists have jointly signed an agreement to jointly support the development and construction of the Federation. The Singapore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association extends its warm congratulations on this and looks forward to working hand in hand with all parties to jointly promote global scientific and technological innovation and sustainable development.
此外，我们还得知，中国科协培训和人才服务中心、温州市人民政府、浙江省科学技术协会以及世界青年科学家联合会已联合签署协议，共同支持联合会的发展与建设。新加坡创新创业协会对此表示热烈祝贺，并期待与各方携手合作，共同推动全球科技创新和可持续发展。
